Project Plan
Construction began on the West Concourse of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in early December to improve on the already historic venue that is The Swamp. UF is excited to partner with CPPI on another athletic project that will bring both practical and aesthetic benefits to fans attending Florida Gator football games.
While the full scale of the project is still in the works, below is a short timeline highlighting what has been done and some of the more notable elements to be completed over the next several months.
Completed to Date
- Demolition complete
- 90% of Overhead utility removal / relocation
- Lower level vomitory walls poured and stripped
- 90% of Paint removal
- 60% of Masonry at the upper level concessions
- Upper level vomitory walls complete
- 90% of lower level plumbing
- 75% of electrical underground rough-in
April 2012
- Work at the lower level concourse / concessions / kitchen will continue. The concourse concrete will be installed.
May 2012
- Structural steel framing will begin. All four gate entries will begin to see brick installation and work will be done on new restrooms and concession areas. Overall the concourse will start to look like a stadium again during the month of May
June 2012
- Framework and beginning of finishes throughout the area will be installed. Graphics, lights and ceilings will also be installed.
- The new restroom renovations and family restrooms will be nearly complete with new tile, ceilings, lights, trim and fixtures.
July 2012
- The last month of the project will see all trades wrapping up and finishes completed. Doors and hardware will be installed. Stainless steel countertops, final equipment installation and final graphics will be installed.
