National/International Competition

A member of the British National team…Competed in the 100 & 200-meter butterfly races and the 400-meter medley relay at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing…Also represented GB at the 2009 FINA World Championships, and had stellar swims at Great Britain’s 2009 Worlds qualifying meet, the Scottish Nationals…Holds the British Records in the 100 & 200-meter butterfly races, set at the 2008 Olympic Games and the 2008 British Nationals, respectively.

 

At Florida

2008-09: A 2009 CSCAA Scholar All-American…Broke and now holds Florida records in both the 100 & 200 yard and meter butterfly races…A member of the Gators’ 2009 NCAA Championship team, picking up four All-America honors at her first NCAA meet in the 100 & 200 fly races and as a member of UF’s 200 & 400-yard medley relays…Joined Florida mid-way through the 2008-09 season, shattering a 25-year-old team record her first race as a Gator in the 200-yard fly with her win in the event against Tennessee (1:53.65)…Swam the 100 fly, 200 fly and 200 IM at the 2009 NCAA meet in College Station, Texas, tying for fourth in the 200 fly (1:53.60), finishing seventh in the 100 fly (52.49) and placing 25th in the 200 IM (1:58.53)…The 2009 SEC Champion in the 100 & 200-yard butterfly races…Set a new SEC record in the 200 fly (1:52.53) … Additionally finished 12th in the 200-yard IM (1:59.66) at SECs, helping Florida to its 17th SEC Championship crown…Earned two All-SEC honors for her two victories…In addition to her record-breaking 200 fly swim against Tennessee, also finished first in the 100 fly (53.27)…Took first in the 500 free against IRSC/FGCU (4:54.35) in the last dual of the season.
