(Gainesville, Fla.) was one of five collegiate athletes selected from
across the nation to participate in the U.S. Women's National Volleyball Team
program in the summer of 2007.
Hampton's selection was
based on an open tryout, which she attended in Colorado Springs on Feb. 23-25.
Hampton will begin to train with the rest of the U.S. Women’s National Team
beginning in May. Since 2001, a total of 10 current and former Gator players

history to record 300 digs in their first three seasons. Last year, Hampton became
the seventh Gator to ever reach the 1,000-kill, 1,000-dig club and is one of
only three players to amass at least 300 kills in
their first three seasons.
Hampton has previously
participated with USA Volleyball on numerous occasions, including playing with
the National Team in the summer of 2005 as well as stints with the U.S. Women’s
A2 Team in 2006 and the Junior National Team in 2004-05 and 2001-02. She

Nebraska’s Tracy Stalls and Jordan Larson.
