Gator Baseball Names 2009 Award Recipients

The Gator Dugout Club, supporters of the Florida baseball program, recently announced its award winners from the 2009 season following voting from its membership. Brandon McArthur took home two of the four awards after the ballots were counted, with Avery Barnes and Preston Tucker collecting the other prizes.

Collegiate Baseball newspaper's 27th annual rundown of NCAA Division I baseball recruiting classes was released on Thursday, with Florida's 2009 recruiting class named the best in America for the first time in school history by the publication. The Gators' 11 recruits include 10 freshmen and one junior college transfer.
